Study finds Female Beauty acts on men like a drug
When a man looks at a beautiful woman, it stimulates the same reaction in the brain that drug addicts experience after getting a fix. So says a study carried out at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) that may help prove we are born knowing what is beautiful and what is not.
The study seems to be proof feminine beauty affects the male brain at its most basic level. "This is hard-core circuitry," says M.I.T. researcher Dan Ariely. "Beauty is working similar to a drug." Pictures of attractive women activated the same reward circuits in the brains of heterosexual men as food and cocaine.
