There are more China prostitutes along Geylang Road between Lorong 21 and Lorong 23. They hang around the pavement and carpark. There are also more cigarette peddlers, including females, along this stretch.

There is also an increase in the number of prostitutes along Lorong 21. I think one reason is that the police seldom comes here. The night I was there, both sides of the road were full of parked cars. And about 20 of the cars were taxis! It seemed some taxi-drivers were having fun themselves.

The more brave cigarette peddlers stood at the edge of Geylang Road holding up their cigarettes to entice passing motorists. More cigarettes were in bags or boxes hidden by the roadside or along the passage way at the buildings nearby.

They were sitting or standing along this stretch and inside the clump of trees. There is also a brothel behind these trees. The pimp will approach any man walking past. The yellow van was always parked there with the back lifted up when I passed that area. I think it is to block the view of passing police patrol cars.


On the opposite sides the prostitutes also stand or sit around. They use one of the ground floor flat in the building to do their business. By the way the building houses a few 'legal brothels' catering to customers of the 'legal Geylang prostitutes' who are from Malaysia.
